The Story of CAWA
Established in 2026 to give Kenya's construction workers a united voice — for better pay, safer sites, and brighter futures across the industry.
Built from the Ground Up
CAWA was established in 2026 by experienced construction and allied workers who understood firsthand the challenges facing Kenya's building industry — inconsistent pay, lack of formal recognition, unsafe working conditions, and limited access to training and advancement.
What began as a worker-led association is building a national voice for trades across Kenya, spanning masonry, carpentry, electrical, plumbing, welding, and beyond.
Today, CAWA is focused on engaging workers, government, training institutions, and private sector partners to ensure members have every opportunity to succeed.
CAWA’s strength comes from members sharing practical experience, referrals, and support across the industry.
Established by construction and allied workers to champion fair pay, safer sites, and professional recognition.
Serving members through a digital platform connected to live registrations and records.
